This image was made as part a book project called 'The New World' which will be published in 2009 by the Printmakers Left, a collaborative group of artists who are associated with the University of Virginia. Inspired in part by Cormac McCarthy's novel 'The Road' which deals with survival in a post-apocalyptic world, this print was made from the pages of a 1978 LL Bean catalog.
