When white settlers were homesteading on the American prairie, isolation and loneliness were facts of life. There are stories of pioneers, particularly women, who went crazy from the constant howl of the wind which could go on unrelenting for days. This video loop was inspired by those stories. The unnatural calm of the woman at the window belies the danger raging outside suggesting a break with external reality indicative of mental illness.
