The desert, long a site of transformative exile, is a place where the otherworldly seems more real. Many people claim California’s high desert, a stark expanse broken by the odd geometry of Joshua Trees, is charged with powerful geomagnetic energy. This video, inspired by a neuro-acoustic sound bath at the Integretron in Landers, CA, is a meditation on desert solitude. It is named after Edward Abbey's memoir of life in Arches National Park.
